One of my favorite board games of all time is Scrabble. My mom and aunt used to play it when I was a kid, and eventually I started playing. Once I got a smartphone, I downloaded the Scrabble app. I refused to play Words with Friends. I mean, come on….

However, the Scrabble app always crashed and when it wasn’t crashing, it was like using a dial-up modem. So, I caved and started playing Words with Friends, which is now my Scrabble. When on vacation, though, my husband and I bring out the Scrabble board game and play.

I’m not the best at Scrabble, or Words. I get frustrated trying to find the best word for the most points. I often play with my mom and husband’s aunt and both end up with a score in the 400s and I’m back in the 200s. It’s still fun. I used to hate having a Q and an X, but now, I DESPISE THE LETTER V.

What the hell can you make with a V? Even off the top of my head as I write this post I can only think of Van. Usually I have V at the end of the game, so I’m in need of three-letter words to finish the game. I can’t stand it! I think part of the problem is I get so caught up in the letter I don’t even think of words with a V in it – just words that begin with the letter.
