Book Review: If Only by A.J. Pine

If-Only_500**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**

This book grabbed me from page one. It’s written in first person present tense, which I think is hard for people to pull off. A.J. Pine delivered!

From the moment I was introduced to Jordan, I loved her. She’s uncertain of herself, but not in a way that turns me off. She’s the girl that struggles with her own desires and needs, and questions her actions, yet she’s strong and confident enough to speak her mind.

We meet the two love interests – yes, I said two – Griffin and Noah – within the first two chapters. Griffin, we learn, is the male character that doesn’t want a commitment. He’s smoking hot, and all Jordan (and the reader) can think about is planting a kiss on him. Then comes Noah, also good looking, but the type to commit. He and Jordan have a lot in common. Griffin and Jordan do, too – instant, undeniable attraction.

The book guides us through Jordan’s year abroad, and the internal struggle to go after what she thinks she needs – a fling, no attachments – and what she wants – a sweet guy who shares her interests.

There’s heat with both guys, and A.J. Pine does an excellent job with the steamy 🙂

I highly recommend this book. It’s sweet and funny – a perfect summer read.
